Introduction
Gribnau Communicatie is an agency that consists of one person - David Gribnau. A person who excels in defining, developing and implementing press policies for organisations. In getting news published in the press. In generating free publicity. David can be called in to carry out interim projects and can also advise on all aspects of communication, large or small.
Interim projects
It takes time to set up an effective press policy. This is not something that you can attend when you happen to have the time. The development of an active press policy requires strategic decisions by the management. It is something that needs to be thought about very carefully. For a press policy to work, the management has to take the time to ensure that the press policy is supported both internally and externally.
Getting a small article published in the press might be a nice win in the short term, but is not likely to make that much difference in the long term. So it makes sense to hire a specialist who will take the time to set up an effective press policy.

Having spent more than ten years in the communication industry I think I am justified in saying that I know how the press 'works'. When I first started representing my last employer, Randstad Nederland, five years ago, the company did not have a working relationship with journalists.
In fact journalists were avoided, despite the fact that people in the media were clearly keen to talk to the people at Randstad. Five years later Randstad had a prominent presence in the press and journalists knew who to contact within the company. Time and time again, continuous monitoring by Publistat showed that, when it came to the media, Randstad was way ahead of the competition. At which point it was time for me to move on and offer my knowledge and knowhow to other organisations.
