About VPRA |
 |
| |
The VPRA is a federation of established public relations and communications consultancies (including independent consultants) which are active in public relations, (corporate) communications, information provision and/or public affairs. All members have achieved a high standing and excellent reputation in the field.
The VPRA represents the interests of its members and promotes professional practice in terms of both content and management. |
 |
| |
History
The VPRA was founded in 1997 as a coalition of, and successor to, two existing organizations: the Netherlands Association of Public Relations Consultancies (VPRA) and the Netherlands Association of Public Relations Consultants (NGPR).
The VPRA strives to uphold the traditions established by its forebears, and in particular those of the NGPR's Independent Advisors section, the forerunner of the Professional Association for Communications which became part of the Logeion federation in 2006.

Mission

| |
| • |
The VPRA is a platform for discussion and for the development of members, their management and staff. |
| • |
The VPRA encourages and facilitates contact between members in both the professional and social spheres. |
| • |
The VPRA assists its members in further improving their professional and financial performance, doing so by organizing meetings and conferences, and by establishing and assessing certification standards (the 'Bureau Management Norm'). |
| • |
The VPRA acts as a 'front desk' through which potential clients can obtain information about affiliated members, both collectively and individually. |
